Concoctions

I am a bit of a D.I.Y.  person so I get a kick out of creating something most especially for my hair or anything for that matter. To make things better I am leaving my list of products here.

And added to the list is the Bentonite clay. Here is how I whipped this concoction:

  • 6 spoons of clay
  • 4 spoons of avocado oil
  • 8 spoons of ACV or more(depends on the consistency you want)
  • 4 spoons of water
  • you can add liquids to the mix until you ike the thickness.
  • mix this in a plastic container using a plastic or wooden spoon.

When it is time for wash day and I realize that I have run out of deep conditioner this is what I would do:

  • 5 spoons of mayonnaise (yes salad mayonnaise)
  • 3 spoons of Olive oil
  • Leave it on for an hour and then shampoo.

For sealing in moisture I have made a butter, mixed a butter:
I would still use this if I have coconutoil but I ran out, any oil in the house is used for sealing
  • 2 tspn Coconut oil (clicks)
  • 2 tbspns Shea butter
you can adjust the measurement according to your liking.

To maximize my conditioning time I add this to my masque

  • 1 1/2 tspsn honey
  • 1 tbspn olive oil/avocado oil

I also mix my protein treatment with my deep conditioner.

My favourite or go to products are:

  • DR Miracles deep conditioner(I love the minty smell)
  • ORS Mayonnaise (deep conditioner)
  • DR Miracles Leave in conditioner
  • Afro Botanics repairing and strengthening treatment(protein treatment)
  • OLA Mayonnaise
  • Olive Oil
  • Shea butter
Oops! I almost forgot my daily spritz:
  • pre-boiled water
  • leave in conditioner
  • glycerin
  • African Pride oil
you can mix them however you want and see what works for you, sometimes I just use plain still water and then seal with oil.

Thank you for reading, God bless...
